Life With Three

All I can say is WOW!!! This is what I have been missing this past year? It is such fun to wake up and have G here to talk with and just be with until he leaves for work. And the added bonus is another pair of hands to help with D; even just the 20 to 30 minutes in the morning that I can spend D-free changes my whole outlook on the day. I love my son dearly, but small breaks from him do wonders for my attitude :)...and his too! It has been wonderful to watch D's face light up with smiles in the morning when he plays with his Daddy and in the evening when G walks back through the door after work! Since G left for CA the same day we brought D home from the hospital, we never had a chance to experience what life would be like with the three of us. G's weekend and holiday visits over the past year were awesome, but did not lend themselves to reality since he didn't have to go to work (i.e. leave the house...he did have to study plenty when home), and we always knew in the back of our minds that he would have to return to CA at the end. Evenings are especially nice; I now have another adult (and my best friend) to talk to and hang out with at night before bed. Those hours were beginning to get very lonely! My hat is off to all those single parents out there!!! The past few days have been wonderful and we are so grateful to have G back home again!!
