So, last night we finally ordered a new laptop for me as mine was indeed shot. And, my cell phone actually started working again...I think D's slobber had temporarily shorted out the microphone :). But, the best news of all is that the Data Docs were able to fully recover the information from my hard-drive, so we did not lose any pictures of D. WHEW!
D's walking continues to progress! He is walking everywhere; I keep expecting to see him round the corner on all fours and then I find myself eye-to-eye with a walking toddler. He is still a little unstable which unfortunately lands him in a high-chair or exersaucer fairly frequently when I take him to the gym daycare (for safety reasons since there are so many other truly walking kiddos there usually), but I know that with time and practice he'll be out romping on the floor with the general population. One small note of concern is that I think he has ringworm. YUCK. I am not sure if it came from the cats we visit on our way to the mailbox or from the gym daycare. I assume we will find out Monday at his appointment if it is indeed ringworm. I had this once when I first adopted a cat from the pound, so I am not worried about harm...just about contagiousness :). We will also find out Monday about whether he needs surgery to correct his clogged tear-duct. Believe me, I am more than ready for it (if needed...which I think is inevitable) and I am sure he is too. Wiping goop out of his eye for a year has not been fun for either party. However, I am thankful everyday that this is the only long-term issue we have dealt with...he is otherwise an extremely happy and healthy little guy!

I know you will be glad to have the tear duct issue resolved. Congrats on getting him on the sippy cup!
