You might remember this post from a while back. G and I decided to take the mobile out of D's crib this past weekend since he has been pulling up on everything, although we had never seen evidence that he was trying this in his crib. Consequently, it has been taking him a little longer to go to sleep at night because he had made friends with Eeoyre, Piglet, Winnie, and Tigger, and he liked it when they sang him to sleep and twirled above his head. Last night it seemed to take an unusually long time...I could hear him babbling away on the monitor, and then all of a sudden he started crying. I went up to see what was amiss and lo and behold, there he was standing in the crib, upset because he didn't know how to get down. As soon as I laid him down, he was out. And so it begins.
Sicko Update: D has been much much better the past two days; it seems like we have our sweet little boy back albeit one who is trying hard to get all the infected snot etc. out of his system. He was medicine-free all day yesterday except for the mask and seemed to be just fine. As for me, I can't recall being this sick since college, when I got bronchitis. I am so thankful that G was home the past few days to help out as I really needed it. Today is the first day since Friday that I woke up and was actually able to breathe a little through my nose...yeeeehaaaaaw! So, we are planning to head to CO tomorrow afternoon to see family and friends. Unfortunately, my Grandfather's health is not doing very well right now, thus the urgency to get to CO.
Also, I just wanted to say congrats to my brother (B), sister-in-law (K), nephew (S) and niece (E) as they made it through their first day "back-to-work" (K returned to work and B was home with the kiddos all day for the first time since E's birth in October). They were enjoying a relaxing evening together when I talked to them, celebrating the success of the day. Way to go you four!!!
