D's vocabulary has been increasing daily it seems. The funniest new word comes along with a demonstration though :). D has known where my nose is for a long time. He likes to point to my nose and teeth and has been saying "eeth" for a while too. A few days ago we noticed that D was sticking his finger up his nose while saying "na" which we believe means nose! It is very funny to watch, although we have been trying to tell him that he doesn't have to stick his finger up his nose to make his point. Two other funny words are for bathroom (ba bbbbrrrrroom) and balloon (bbbbboooon). He makes a sound that is hard to type out when saying those two words (it is like he is rolling his b's and r's), but those are definitely the words he is trying to say. We went shopping yesterday and before we got to the checkout D was saying bbbbbboooon. He had spotted clusters of balloons by each checkout stand. When we got there, the checker asked if he wanted (and could have) a balloon. Let us just say that this gesture MADE.HIS.DAY. It was EXTREMELY windy walking back to the car and we almost lost that balloon (yikes!). I had to lock it in the front seat and secure the string in the door to keep the balloon tied down while loading the groceries into the car (the wind had ripped it off D's arm). The wind also tried to rip my temporary tag off Scubi Doo 2.0...thankfully I caught it before it became just another piece of trash flying around ABQ (along with all the yummy dust)! When we were all loaded up, I gave D his (pink) balloon. He held that string with a death grip the whole way home and had a huge grin on his face. The balloon still has some helium today and he has been having a grand time walking up to it and bouncing it to the floor (it is anchored with one of his toys) and dragging it around. Yeah for cheap (free) toys! He has also started saying "ninnie" whenever he sees Winnie-the-Pooh which is just tooooo cute :)!
Me & my bbbbooooon.
You want a piece of me :)?!?
Who says I can't put "my" cat toy in the basketball hoop??

He is doing GREAT with his words! Definitely add "dog" to that list, b/c he clearly was saying that when over here. "Dog" & "balloon" were very easy to understand. He's such a smartie!
