Activity Whirlwind

For several years now, we've planted seeds right around Easter time. And, this year, we did indeed plant our Easter seeds, but were met with failure the first time. However, being that we are all experimentalists at heart ;), we tried again, and were met with success!

We're growing! In theory, these should become daisies, though we need to transfer just a few sprouts to a pot if we want them to get that far.

D and I attended our usual Spring ACT performance, Seussical Jr. this time. WOW! It was a combo of Horton Hears a Who and Horton Hatches the Egg and was just really well done. I will never cease to be amazed at the vocal talent of some of these young kids! Very entertaining and fun to have a date with my little man!

Saturday, P had her final lesson of round 2 at the Cottonwood Creek Rec Center. She got a few Excellents, a few Very Goods, and a few Needs Improvements, and we are super proud of her progress!

She also started a round of Saturday morning lessons at Villa. We are really stretching her skill level with where we placed her (Yellow Otter), but as usual, P proved she is up to that challenge. It will be exciting to watch her continued progress in the Villa lessons over the next few weeks. Gotta get ready for the swimming season :)!

D also started a round of Saturday lessons at Villa. He is also being challenged with where we placed him (Blue Dolphin), so it will be awesome to watch how he does.

Here was a picture from the Rec Center when P was waiting for her turn to go down the big water slide :).

After Saturday swim lessons and a T-Ball game, we packed it in and headed up to Denver to meet my family and spend time with my Aunt M who was in town for the weekend. I was too busy having fun to take many pictures, but I did get a few...

B and Aunt M ♥.

Ansy and P ♥. P was having fun finding seed pods and stashing them in Ansy's hands :).

Blink and you'll miss them! The cute couple relaxing for just a fleeting minute. Love Aunt K's new dress!!!

A game of catch :).

Sunday was a sunny, but chilly day, so we decided it was the perfect day to break out a painting project that has been in the closet, waiting for just such a day :). A birdhouse! After it was all painted, the kids decided it would be for G and I ♥, so we could all have one (they each have one hanging in our front yard tree).
