We took D for a walk this afternoon (hurray for warmer weather!) and stopped to let him walk around a little. Although progress was quite slow, as would be expected for a 10 month old, progress was made and mom and dad had fun getting a preview of what is yet to come. It is hard to imagine that someday soon, D will be doing this all on his own...no parental training wheels required. While neither of us has a clue how long this milestone will take, what we do know is that D is much happier these days to be walking than to be crawling. Of course, little Mr. Smarty-pants probably has already figured out that when he walks, mom, dad or both are right there with him whereas when he crawls, they often watch from afar (we are trying hard not to be hover-parents). And, since our little social butterfly likes attention, you can guess which option he might decide is the best of the two. Which of course is fine with us...tomorrow he'll be fifteen years old, backtalk will be abound, and parents no longer cool, right? Please join us as we continue to marvel in the adventures of parenthood and enjoy life with two beautiful kiddos!
