Running Buddy

D has been the best little running buddy ever since I started running with him in the jogger (~ 3 months)! I am so blessed to have a child who can handle being in the jogger and entertain himself long enough to let me get a good run in. Lately, he has been pointing at everything that goes by, especially dogs. He seems to be fascinated by them, and so far, has shown no fear of them...even ones five times his size. Not sure if that is such a good thing though :). No really, I do appreciate having a kid who doesn't freak out whenever a new animal comes around!...we just need to make sure he learns to be nice to animals and not pull their hair out at every opportunity. I went running on a local trail today, and was once again reminded of why we live here...I had a beautiful view of the mountains, was surrounded by nature, and there was nary an insect anywhere around for me to inhale :). You gotta love the dry weather and corresponding lack of bugs. After living deep in the South of TX for 5.5 years and being constantly accosted by giganto mosquitoes, it is just HEAVENLY!!
