Oh yea, see that tube in the background? I think D played with that in some form or fashion at least 100 times during the session. He also demonstrated some pretty impressive balance beam skills...given that he has never seen or played with one before...oh yea, and the fact that he was wearing socks!! Perhaps my gymnastics thoughts weren't so far off base.
Please join us as we continue to marvel in the adventures of parenthood and enjoy life with two beautiful kiddos!

Boppin' and Groovin'
We decided to take D to a new, fun activity today at a local venue. It seems to be a lot like a well known, popular kids program, only much much more affordable. Today was an open play session, so you could get an idea about the program and its offerings, as well as see how your child enjoyed everything. I don't think the word enjoy really conveys the experience D had. I think TOTAL BLAST might be more appropriate! It was an hour and a half long, and he played hard every single second of that time. There were probably 20 kids anywhere from 0 - 4 years old there, and tons of fun toys for everyone. Parents could interact with their kids (and others) as little or as much as they wanted. I had more fun just sitting in the middle of the chaos and watching D interact with other kids and parents and explore the different activities for him to participate in. We plan to get signed up for this on a regular basis, at least for the "winter" months (if you can count 35 degrees outside as winter) since he seemed to have such fun. It was hard to get a picture because of the lighting, but here is what we got:
