A Duck-Sheep?

We are having lots of fun with animals in this household lately :)! Overnight it seems D is finally identifying animals sounds with their names (despite the mix-and-match fridge farm) which is just too much fun. It all started one night when he was taking a bath. He started saying "ah ah ah ah ah" and at first I couldn't figure out what he was doing. Then I realized he was looking at a monkey on the shower curtain, and though he missed the first part of the sound, "oo oo oo" (or however that might be spelled), he was certainly getting the last part. So, we have been experimenting the past few days. This morning he said, "mmmmm" for cow, "qack qack" for duck, and "zzzz" for bee. Unfortunately, he thinks cats say "maa maa maa" because our vocal cat can't meow quite right :). It has been such a blast listening to him and trying to decipher just what he is saying. He says "bel" when either of us puts on a belt, "ha" when he sees a hat, "crooo" when he sees a screw, and "he" for hair. We can't wait to hear what word(s) tomorrow will bring!!

A "duck-sheep"?.....that's silly!

Hey Drew...Old McDonald never had any "duck-sheep!" on his farm...least I don't think he did....is this a trick question for Grandpa? Oh I get it...someday you plan on becoming a genetic engineer and then you will call Grandpa silly for not believing you!
