"But"

In our house, you will find many butterflies: butterflies on D's walls, on our fridge and on various windchimes. I love butterflies...I think they are just beautiful and ever so peaceful as they float gracefully through the air. Butterflies were a large part of our wedding decorations. To commemorate my love for butterflies (and my inner wild child), I decided to have some ink done 6 years ago:

Can you see where this is going? D has dubbed butterflies, "but." One morning while I was getting ready, D came up behind me and starting saying "but, but, but." I was a bit confused at first because after 6 years, you tend to forget about some ink on your back. And then it dawned on me. I sat down and he then touched my back and said, "but." He is a bit young to understand or care, but I guess I should remember that someday, I will have to figure out how to explain the results of a whimsical afternoon in a TX tattoo parlor :).
