Football Game Fun

Part of the Kid Force package we bought for this kids this year included free tickets to one of the football games. Saturday was the day! We packed up and headed out for some serious fun in the sun. True to CO weather, we had a very warm and sunny day to enjoy the game in. As opposed to the negative temps and cold, wet snow we encountered many years back :). It all started with a little...

...hop, skip and JUMP! There was a Kids Fest included in the deal. We munched, drank and played for free before the game even began.

Go Air Force!

Once inside the stadium, a large AF plane flew over and...

...if you look closely, you can see the parachuters who came out...

...and swirled and smoked their way down onto the field.

It was fascinating to watch, especially as they got close enough to really see.

Let the football game begin! We had awesome seats, lots of room for squirmy kids and right at the end of the row so we could easily make our five thousand trips to the bathroom :).

Number one! Well, two in my book ;), but she was content to yell out number one while waving her finger around :).

All the cadets in uniform cheering their team on...

...and the random blue-man dudes :).

The falcons were right below our seats, so it was fun to watch them throughout the first two quarters.

I'll just say that a 1:00 PM start time is a bit rough with a 4- and 2-year old, who are used to nap/quiet time during that 1- 3 PM period. P was a true trooper, but by the second quarter, she conked out ♥.

And sadly, D tripped (and landed on his face) headed up the concrete stairs on his way to the bounce area during half-time, and that short-circuited the remainder of our stay. We quickly found the exit (you would too if sporting a screaming, thrashing, bleeding-from-his-face 4-year old) and headed for home :). ETA: the screaming and thrashing was because he didn't want to go, but his behavior clearly indicated it was time to go. He scraped up his nose and outside of his mouth pretty good, but it isn't anything a little Neosporin can't fix. He was fine after he caught a few zzzzz's and the scrapes are healing up slowly but surely.

It was a wonderful first football game experience, and one we hope to do again (minus the face-thing of course). We had hoped to attend the CSU v. Air Force game in November when home for turkey time, but they don't have cheap tickets available :(. Boo CSU!
