Busy-Beaver Boyarkos

Twas a busy week around here :).

Tumbling Tuesdays have commenced...

Monkey-P

It's all a balancing act

High kicker

Streeeeeeetch...and smile :)

Puzzles seem to be the current favorite way to pass time while at home.

Thursday was another trip to the dentist for D (and G and me). P gets to go next time :).

We took a spontaneous trip to the Zoo when a little free-time worked it's way into our Thursday morning (did I mention those dentist appointments were EARLY?).

D and P getting misted

A little zebra riding was in order

As well as some horsing around :)

As always, there was a visit to the nest

Practicing their owl hooos, though I'm not sure why this was the location for that endeavor.

This porcupine cracks me up. I could literally have reached out and touched him if I had wanted. Which I didn't.

Rider D. And no, he wasn't really riding. This exhibit talks about conscientious use of ATV's.

Rider P

He reminded the kids of the turtle on Wonder Pets lol

This hippo was fully immersed for the longest time. And yes, I have no comment about the contents of the water. My son, however, did.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can

The littlest orangutang gave us quite a performance. Show off ;)!

Watching the chimp, closely, through the ?-inch thick (scratched up) glass. Thank goodness for that!

However, you'll notice in this next picture that the glass has *ahem* disappeared.

Yep, that there is P, petting the American Beaver, from inside the exhibit :). The zookeeper noticed us searching for (and finding) the beavers and promptly asked if we'd like to come inside for a closer look. What? Seriously? She showed us through the backroom maze and on into the beaver's home. Both kids got to pet them, but I only came out of my shock-fog in time to snap a picture of P. Wow! I have a feeling that is a once-in-a-lifetime event for us all!
