Wow, Where Has the Month Gone?

It has been a wonderful, busy week here in the Boyarko casa.

It all started with a little paint-o-rama stars and stripes Arts and Projects.

Some GREAT news from the doctor was sprinkled somewhere in the middle...P will likely NOT need surgery to fix her finger \o/! He said the joint looks straighter, and wants to give it another 2 months and check again. We are sooooooo hopeful to avoid surgery; natural healing would make us all super happy! The growth plate issue is still in the air and may not be known for a while. However, the doc did clarify that if it is missing there is A) absolutely nothing that can be done to change that fact, and B) it will only affect that very upper portion of the finger. Whew! We're keeping our fingers crossed on that one.

After several mornings at the pool followed by swim lessons (for both kids this week), D finally succumbed and took a nap LOL! This was also following a 2-hour playdate with friends. I left him in his room to do 'quiet-time' and when it was suspiciously quiet, I checked on him and found this...

Tonight, the cooler temps and cloud cover were the perfect mix for some backyard playtime! The kids got to see a chicken coup earlier today, and were inspired to make their own nest...

D also decided it would be important to sit on it to keep the random assortment of softballs and tennis balls 'eggs' warm.

And, of course, P wanted her shot at egg-warming too :)!

It quickly degenerated into a grass fight LOL!

Check out the look of pure joy on her face :D!

Gottcha!

And yes, P is clearly practicing for the 100-mile-an-hour-topsy-turvy turns she plans on attempting in her uber-lifted 4x4 someday (when I am not watching!!!).

Now, we are madly scrambling to get everything pulled together for another camping trip with my family this weekend. We're headed up the Poudre Canyon, my old childhood camping stomping grounds, so I am super excited!!
