We finally took the plunge and bought D a DVD just for him. We have not allowed any TV watching for him since his birth, other than a random football game we wanted to see if on in the daytime. But, as we approach his 2nd birthday (wow!), we are realizing that it may be beneficial for him (and for us) to start allowing some TV. We started off with the Jungle Book, as my brother and his family really seemed to enjoy that movie when their kiddo was able to start watching TV. Plus, D loves animals, so we figured it would be a good place to start. Over Thanksgiving, we let him start watching it, and discovered that while he is not quite into the actual movie portion, he LOVES.LOVES.LOVES the part where all the songs are consolidated and play through. He shouts out "Mowgli" and dances around while watching the elephants march, Balu bee bop, the monkeys scat around, and the birds croon. It is so fun to watch! We look forward to the slow addition of new shows over time.
And, it is with much glee that I can say it is FINALLY SNOWING here!!!! Yippeeee!
Hup two three four, keep it up two three four!

"More Mowgli!"
