Back in the 505

After a little over a week away, we arrived back home yesterday evening. D had a wonderful time visiting his OH family and friends, and is now enjoying getting reacquainted with home. Thankfully, our flights went smoothly and we can say that yesterday's flights were the last where D will be considered a "lap child". While this is definitely a milestone, it is a welcome one, as he has just gotten to be too big to comfortably ride on our laps. Even if he won't stay in his chair for the next flight, at least we will have that extra space! And, we enjoyed the addition of the "family lanes" for security check purposes; no longer do we have to feel rushed to get through the checkpoints since we are amidst other families dealing with the hassles of strollers, etc. We got a good chuckle out of watching some "crafty" folks (w/o families) enter the family lines since the lines were shorter, but in the end it actually took them longer :). I guess to give them the benefit of the doubt, the concept is still new, so I am certain that with time, people will learn. At any rate, we will be busy this week catching up and getting our outside lights up as well as our tree. We know D is anxious for this and we are excited to see his reaction this year. Here is a fun picture of D playing with some drumsticks Grandma and Grandpa found for him:

Many thanks from us all to Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle C for a wonderful turkey-time visit!!!
