Here Fishy Fishy Fishy

Yesterday we all went to the Monterey Aquarium for the afternoon to enjoy the local aquatic life. If you have never been to this particular aquarium, you must go if you are ever in the area. It is just amazing!!! D had a wonderful time looking at the various exhibits and seemed to really enjoy watching the otters goof around in the water, showing off for the massive crowd. We managed to find some kid-friendly areas where D got to slide, and push/twist/turn/pull buttons/levers to set off some sort of fishy in motion. The absolute best thing we found though was the "babies/toddlers" area: yes, an area specifically designed with small kiddos in mind. It was fabulous! D thought so too! He got to jump around on a little water-bed like thing, play with large blocks, and best of all, play in the water. Our child was not the one who went over and displayed a passing interest in the water display. Oh no, ours was the one who thoroughly soaked himself and everyone else's child who tried to play in the water alongside D. It was hilarious! Good thing we had a change of clothes :).
