A New Summer Toy

We splurged. D had such a great time playing with a water table at his friends M and CA's house, that we decided it would be a worthy purchase. Oh yea, and the fact that whenever it does rain here, which it has been doing a lot of recently, he likes to splash away in this ceramic cat we have out front. We found a great table today and he spent almost two hours outside splashing around with minimal supervision...i.e. his attention span was incredibly focused on all the fun he could have with the table and various associated toys. I was amazed...and very happy! Of course, the table is technically supposed to have sand on one side and water on the other. But, for now, when 90% of what is in the table ends up on the ground, we think water will be the only ingredient :).
