D is fascinated by our cats, J and A. Although neither cat is too excited about D, he smiles at them and moves his little arms all around whenever one of them is nearby. J has not approached D, but will sit across the room watching him as he smiles at her. A has been a little braver and will approach D occasionally as long as I am around to "supervise."
