Baby Food Vomit???

We just finished with our second attempt at baby food (aka mush) peaches this morning and it was once again, a failed attempt. However this time, despite the pediatrician’s recommendation to try disliked items at least nine times, I threw away all remaining containers of mush peaches. Why? Because the SMELL MADE ME WANT TO VOMIT, so how I can expect my son to want to ingest something that smells horrible and doesn’t taste much better?? In his hurry to rid his body of this horrible smelling and tasting food, he got some on his PJs…and we quickly changed those PJs since the smell lingered even beyond being furiously scrubbed with soap and hot water in an effort to purge the mush peaches. Maybe some babies think these mush peaches are fabulous, but in our house, mush peaches have been banned and only when D is able to ingest small pieces of real peach will we consider peaches an edible, and hopefully liked item.

On a funnier note, D managed to plaster himself with squash and corn yesterday evening:
