Say What??

At his six month appointment, D's pediatrician told me to let him have a spoon when feeding him to avoid any battles over the spoon. I thought this sounded like a pretty cool idea since it would give him the feeling of independence as well as allow him to learn how to use a spoon. I assumed she meant that he would not actually use his spoon to feed himself, but would have one nonetheless. As you can see by the picture below, this was well, an interesting idea in theory, but probably not the best in reality...unless of course you can afford the water bill to wash clothes and bathe baby 3x a day. That or I need to devise some sort of whole body bib with arm holes :).
