After almost a year of contemplation, I have finally decided to move forward with a blog.
I am not sure how this will go, but figured this would be a fun way to document our adventures into parenthood and beyond!
My husband, G and I were married in Fort Collins, Colorado on the Colorado State University Oval on August 15, 2004 and made our home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
G and I spent the first few years getting settled in Albuquerque and into jobs at the Air Force Base (engineer) and UNM (human resources/equal opportunity compliance), respectively.
March 23, 2007 marked the arrival of our first child, a son, D, and our lives have been a whirlwind of fun ever since!
G had to leave for Monterey, California for work reasons just a few days after D was born, but luckily he is able to visit us a few times a month and will be back at home for good in March 2008.
I originally returned to work (when D was 3 months old), but could not hack it and on August 25, became a stay-at-home Mom!!
I am so grateful for this opportunity!
So, D and I will be able to visit G a little more, although it is still easier for G to travel to us rather than for us to travel to G…unless of course someone invents a way to grow a few extra arms.
August 30 marked D’s first introduction to formula and the beginning of the weaning process, and September 23 will mark his 6 month anniversary, introduction to solids, and the end of the weaning process.
A big day for all!
He has been growing like a weed, and is much more interested in practicing standing these days than sitting.
We will embark on our first ever hiking adventure tomorrow in Santa Fe with some friends…wish us luck! Today is G's big 3-0 birthday, which we will be officially celebrating next week when he is home with a Texas Hold 'Em game and friends. Yes folks, there is an almost 4-year age gap between us (*gasp*), so it is now my turn to have fun with his passing out of the twenties and into the thirties :).

D says hello!
