Zoo in the Summer

Despite the heat, we made our way to the phenomenal CMZoo again this morning with some great friends.

First stop: the giraffes

Why hello there Mr. Giraffe!

Do you see what I see?!? Sluuuuuurrrrrrrrp!

Perhaps this one once auditioned for Kiss?

P goes in for the feed.

Then D. He said the tongue was 'bumpy and yucky'.

We were serenaded by monkeys on our way to the Carousel.

The kids all got a free ride on the train!!

I became an impromptu bird-feeder lol :).

P got to pet the baby wallabie! So did D, but I wasn't fast enough to snap a pic.

American Alligators...stinky little suckers!

The view coming down the Sky Ride

We tried hard, but still didn't make it to all of the exhibits before we needed to depart; both due to our schedule and the kid's exhaustion level lol. D actually laid down by himself when we got home and is taking a self-mandated nap :). For me, tired kids means a good time was had!
