We took the kids to their first hockey game at the Air Force Academy last night. It was Fan Appreciation Night, so we were able to get some amazing seats at only $5 a ticket! What a cool experience! D was definitely more interested than P, but they both did a super job given that the game didn't even start until 7:30 and lasted until 10 PM (as did they!). It is unreal how fast that puck moves around the floor, and how physical that game truly is even without the fighting. I was glad we choose this game as the actual fighting was very minimal compared to what I've seen on TV.
Initially, they were a little overwhelmed with all the noise.

G took them for a tour before the game got started and they happened upon an important football trophy which is currently in possession by the Air Force.

I thought it was neat when the whole team lined up right before the game began.

P 'watching' :)

Daddy and D cheering on the AF!

The Falcon stopped in for a quick hello hug :).

It was another
Arts and Projects morning at our house :). I couldn't resist posting these two pics...look closely, the tongue sticking-out-to-concentrate-thing is too cute ♥.
