Eileen M Thieman

"Eileen M. Thieman, 64, of Fort Collins passed away October 12, 2011 at her home in Fort Collins surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born April 22, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Patricia (Crowe) Morgan where she lived until graduating from high school. She attended Notre Dame – de Sion High School and Creighton University where she received a Bachelor’s degree and also a Master’s. While an undergraduate student at Creighton University, she met Bill Thieman. They were married in Kansas City, Missouri on June 20, 1970. Prior to coming to Fort Collins the couple lived in Millington, TN where Dr. Thieman was stationed in the U S Navy. They came to Fort Collins in 1977. After working at Rocky Mountain High School, Eileen decided to return to Colorado State University and received her teaching certificate allowing her to teach in the Poudre School District for over 10 years. While her children were growing up she was active in school activities and was a member of the Parent Advisory Board at both Beattie Elementary and Rocky Mountain High Schools. Later she worked in her husband’s medical office. She was a member of Blessed John XXIII University Center Catholic Church. Eileen enjoyed her bridge Club that she was active in for over 30 years, playing golf, knitting, cross stitching and especially playing board games with her grandchildren. Eileen is survived by her husband William, children John (Carrie) Thieman of Fort Collins, Dr. Michele (Dr. Greg Sperle) Thieman of Park Rapids, MN, Stephanie (Lisa Faust) Thieman of Fort Collins and Nicole Thieman of Fort Collins, brothers Douglas (Yvonne) Morgan of San Francisco, CA, and Greg (Diane)Morgan of Portland, OR, sisters Christine (James) Glenski of Overland Park, KS, Lisa (Pat) Morzel of Boulder, CO, and Deirdre (Jim) Morgan of Bellingham, WA, grandchildren Ashlyn Thieman, Jayden Thieman, Bailey Thieman, and Jack Sperle. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Ann Lewis and brothers -in –law James and Robert Thieman. A recitation of the Rosary will take place Monday evening, October 17, at 7:30 PM at Blessed John XXIII University Center with viewing one hour prior. A Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning, October 18 at 10 AM, also at Blessed John XXIII University Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Colorado Community Foundation to be used for a scholarship for a Poudre School District student."
