Snow Bubbles and Smiles

We had a few more firsts this weekend \o/ :). Sunday afternoon found us at the Manitou Art Theater enjoying Snow Bubble, part of a Kids First series at the MAT. We were a little worried about whether the kids could/would sit still for nearly an hour and were pleasantly surprised! They laughed and giggled and smiled and enjoyed watching Mr. Guffaw (aka clown) tell the story of Snowflake Bently (aka scientist/artist Wilson Bently) and his love and discovery of all things snowflake. It was a hilarious show and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is a neat series, with performances 1x/month through May :)!

After watching several other flashes go off, I decided to brave one :). I think besides the milk and cookies and snowflake cutting adventures post-performance, this was our the kids favorite part :).














And, we went for a small hike \o/! I stumbled upon a trail 20 minutes from our house and we gave it a shot Saturday afternoon. Perfect! Wide trails, not too steep, and lots for the kids to explore/enjoy, with an added side of beautifulness!

The Aspen trees are changing colors and are lovely! P was enjoying her Daddy ♥.

This was P's first hike where she actually walked and she seemed to have a great time! Love that the kids are old enjoy to get out and do some of this stuff again!!!














Pulpit Rock. We didn't get this far, but we plan to try someday.














D had so much fun that he couldn't (can't) wait to go again \o/! He also wants to try camping, which we explained we will be doing in the Spring once P is just a little older. Exciting times here in the Springs!!!!
