Wow, Baby Baby!!!

Much to our surprise and delight, P decided to make her appearance yesterday, February 17th at 9:24 AM!! She weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. So far, she seems to be in perfect health and we are all falling in love with her more and more each minute. D has been eager to kiss and hug her, and seems to understand that she is here to stay. While this labor was much shorter, we faced the same issue we had with D, she was sunny-side up. Fun, fun, fun. However, the short process made a huge difference; my water broke at 6:30 PM, contractions began in earnest around 10 PM, I thought I was going to die around 1:30 AM :), my epidural began taking affect around 2:30 AM (I was lucky enough to have 4 super contractions all in a row while the doc was trying to administer it), and after multiple position changes to try and move P to the proper position, we decided to give it a go. And after about 1 hour of super-human pushing :), she came out. Here are a few pictures:

Hello everyone!!

Tired, but very happy!

D meets P for the first time and gives her a sweet, sweet kiss!

Congrats! Sounds like this labor was tough but thankfully not as bad as the first one. Take care! We'll be in touch.

WOOT! She is beautiful and I'm glad that things went well and that everyone is healthy. Epidurals are on my list of favorite things. Seriously. :) Can't wait to meet her!!
