So, we were not blessed with a growing fetus this month, and even though we didn't have high hopes, it is still disappointing :(. G being gone worked for us the first time (and for that we are forever grateful!), but apparently this time around the heavens above have other plans...for now. The good news is that G will be back for good in just a few short days, and we are hopeful that maybe this different "plan of attack" will turn up different results.Thankfully, the tri training is going really well and I am starting to feel like I am back in pre-pregnancy shape at long last! I joined a masters swim group which has been a total blast, and between running with my friend R, running outside and at the gym, and biking at the gym and in the garage, I am feeling ready even though it isn't until May 11th. What a fun way that will be to celebrate Mother's Day :)! I just need to go through the transitions a few times and then I think I will be ready. It is actually a "backwards" tri, which I think will be much easier than a regular one. First, you aren't trying to put anything on over a wet swim suit since the swim portion is at the end. Second, and most important in my mind, you aren't trying to run after biking. I believe the terminology for how your legs feel when trying to run after biking is called "brick". Enough said. Third, running is my weakest sport, so getting that out of the way when I am fresh will be fabulous! Now if we could just figure out how to get rid of the last of this *^&%$ baby belly. Any tips :)? My 400 some odd sit-ups per day just don't seem to be cutting it.
It is hard for me to imagine that one year ago today, we were headed to the hospital to have D...although he didn't make his appearance until the wee hours of the 23rd :). It is truly amazing how fast the past 12 months have gone, and the changes in D are just out of this world. Human life is incredible!

You're doing so great with your training! I have my $$ on you to win the race in our age bracket! Don't you worry, you'll be knocked up before you know it - once G is back, you'll be in business in no time. :-)
I hear you on the baby belly! I've finally come to terms that my little belly might be there to stay. If that's the cost of two beautiful babies, I'll take it along with a few stretch marks and the c-section scar! :) Have so much fun with D's official birthday!!
Boo to not being knocked up, but how will you do the Tri if you are pregger? :) Maybe this is the universe's way of making sure you kick some booty first! I am sure it will happen fast once G is home.
