D has been doing really well feeding himself banana puffs despite the fact that they often stick to his hands (thanks to all of the slobber). I have been feeding him pieces of banana to date, which he seems to love. A few times he seemed like he was interested in trying to do it himself, so we gave it a try tonight. Slippery suckers!!! He had a lot of fun trying, but was never successful at actually getting a piece in his mouth. He did have fun squishing a few pieces between his fingers though :).
Stay tuned as I am certain a future attempt will be successful...that or he'll be wearing smushed banana in his hair!
