He's 4!!!!

4 years ago today, we said hello to one of the most special people in our lives...our wonderful son, D ♥! He came in with a bang, and we've been running full-speed-ahead ever since. He has become such a social child, who loves to have friends and play imaginatively. He's happy to sit patiently while we read to him, or speed around the park at mach-ten, barely even stopping for a breath. We just love this kid!

Happy 4th Birthday Sweet D ♥!!!

It all began with some sweet-D smiles ♥...

...and blue frosted cinnamon rolls, at D's request.

You can see that he didn't like them at all :).

Never one to miss out on a sweet...Sweet-P's blue smiles :).

D was super excited to get a camping chair of his own!

Then we made our way to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

The giraffe exhibit was out of this world!

If you look closely, you can see Garden of the Gods in the distance. This is the most beautiful zoo I have ever seen!

P wasn't quite sure what to make of all the chirping birds, but you can see that D knew exactly what he was about...chase :)!

They were super excited to have an opportunity to feed the birds. That is my hand you see there :).

Lions, lions, everywhere!

Seriously though, I didn't have the camera zoomed at all. This tiger was super close to us.

The otters were a fun sight to see, as always!

Look closely at the window...Mr. Otter was making an upside-down swoop as I snapped this off.

View from the top of the world, or at least it felt like it :).

Grizzly Bears!

Future kayakers :)

Well hello there Mr. Porcupine!

Look what just hatched :).

Carousel ride happiness!

The giraffes were all out and about when we made our way out of the zoo.

And I couldn't resist one pic of the lounge-hippo :).
