D is 22 months old today!! Poor little guy is fighting off a horrible cold right now...the never-ending little-kids-passing-germs saga has struck us again. I can't wait until he is officially 2 and we can perhaps give him some medicine that actually helps with the cough. Hearing your child cough and cry all night (even when you try to sleep with him for comfort) is not much fun. I am trying desperately to not get sick since that would be just downright miserable at this stage in the pregnancy. Anyhow, we have really enjoyed the changes in D over the past few months and continue to be amazed at how quickly he picks up new words and concepts. We have been working diligently on getting him to know our first names and his last name, as well as what city he lives in and what street he lives on. Hearing him say Albuquerque is awesome, and I truly believe that if he got lost and someone asked him where he lived, they would understand what he was saying. If we can just get him to say our last name, we are pretty confident he could be tracked to us since we are the only ones in ABQ. Happy 22 months sweet little boy!!
I hit the 36 week mark on Wednesday and must confess I am ready to be done. I am no longer sleeping at night ( all 2 positions cause soreness after a short time) and given that, I would rather be kept awake by a sweet little bundle of joy than by discomfort...and able to get a tiny little bit of sleep on my back without feeling like I have been run over by a two ton truck :). And oddly enough, I have been experiencing some nausea again in the mornings which I would not have expected. Thankfully is it minor and short-lived...just interfering with my daily AM decaf intake. The due date is now less than a month away!!!
