Pumpkin Fun

Ahhh, what October would be complete without pumpkins? We decided it was the right time to try out McCall's Pumpkin Patch, a place we had heard about for a few years, but had never been to. We had no idea what to expect in terms of age appropriateness, but figured at the very least, we would come home with some pumpkins and D would get to experience a hayride. The trip turned out to be spectacular!!! There were tons of things for a kid to do, and D had a total blast (as did we!). When we first arrived, D wanted to jump in this huge pumpkin. I went in with him as he was just a tad small to be alone, but we had fun jumping around with a bunch of screaming kids.

Then we made our way to the Cow Train Depot where D got to ride around part of the facility in a fun cow-barrel towed by a lawn mower:

We were so proud of him because he actually stayed seated for the entire trip! Next we got to check out some hungry geese (watch out for those fingers!):

Then D decided it was time to transform into a pig and a rooster:

Then it was time to brush the goats at the petting zoo:

Did I forget to mention this was a trip to the pumpkin patch :)? Then D and Daddy tried their hands on this huge jumping thing...again, a little hard for D by himself this year, but he had a great time hanging on for dear life with Daddy:

Next D and Daddy climbed to the top of a huge stack of hay for a great view of the entire facility:

One of the favorite activities was playing in a huge corn-box:

Then, and only then, was it time to find the hayride out to the pumpkins:

...where we all had fun wandering around and picking out pumpkins from an endless sea of orange:

Can you say score!?! We will so be going back again next year!! Our little pumpkin, who is currently sacked out from so much activity, had himself a great time, and we probably had more fun watching him enjoy himself so much!

We went to the pumpkin patch up here this weekend too - one of my favorite things to do with the kids! You and P look adorable, and D is his usual cute self. Happy Tuesday!
