...excavator gazing...
...wait! Weren't we there to see the animals ;)? The Tiger gave us a great close up!
And the Grizzly Bears were a little hard to spot, but we did find one sun-bathing :).
And, we peeked our heads inside a building we've never been in, and had the whole place to ourselves and our own personal tour guide to boot. She pulled out a lizard for the kids to feel; he had a super spiny tail and soft, warm body.
She also introduced us to Steve (I think that was his name). He's messy, noisy, refuses to perform on command, and bites. Hmmmmm, sounds a bit like a 2-year-old to me ;).
My own sun-bather lol :).
Silly ant-smiles
When I downloaded my pics today, I realized I had kind of a cool comparison for the year's zoo visits:
1st ever visit in March...
I missed a few visits, but here is one from October...
...and today.
March...
August...
August...
October...
...and today.
September...
October...
...and today.
I'll have to make an effort to duplicate these pics each time we go since I had fun looking back at the months of the year in zoo-view :).
